Overview

Page Nest is a personal reading app for importing, reading, converting, and annotating PDF and EPUB files. The app does not require an account, does not include advertising, and does not use analytics or tracking SDKs.

Information the app stores on your device

Page Nest stores the information needed to provide the reading experience on your device:

• PDF and EPUB files you choose to import.
• Generated EPUB files, book cover images, and file metadata such as title and import date.
• Reading position, preferred reading format, EPUB font-size setting, comments, highlights, and excerpts you create.
• Optional OCR settings you enter, such as an OCR service URL and bearer token.

This information is stored locally by the app. The developer does not receive these files, notes, settings, or reading activity.

OCR processing

Page Nest can process PDF text locally on your device. If you enable online OCR in the app settings and provide an OCR service URL and token, the selected PDF is sent to the service you configured so it can return OCR text. Online OCR is optional and disabled by default.

When you use a third-party or self-hosted OCR service, that service may process the PDF, token, request metadata, and OCR output according to its own privacy and retention rules.

Information collected by the developer

The developer does not collect personal information through the Page Nest app. If you contact support, the developer will receive the information you choose to share, such as your email address, device model, iOS version, app version, screenshots, or problem descriptions. Support messages are used only to respond to your request.

Website hosting

This support and privacy website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process standard hosting data, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps, to provide, secure, and operate the website. Page Nest does not add advertising cookies or analytics scripts to this site.

Sharing and sale of data

Page Nest does not sell personal information. The app does not share your imported books, reading activity, comments, or OCR settings with the developer. Data may be processed by a third-party OCR service only when you explicitly enable online OCR and configure that service.

Data deletion

You can delete imported books and associated files from within the app. You can delete comments from the EPUB reader. Uninstalling the app removes the app data stored on the device, subject to normal iOS backup and restore behavior.

Children's privacy

Page Nest is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app or website changes. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
